Automotive Exterior Cleaning Tips
- Always wash your vehicle in a shaded area. Your vehicle's surface should be cool. If the car's hot, the soap will dry too quickly, leaving marks on the surface and requiring another wash.
- Pre-soak your vehicle to remove heavy contaminants like bird droppings or tree sap.
- Use mild liquid soap and a car-wash mitt or sponge-- and don't skimp on the water.
- Wash one section at a time, and then rinse it off. Start from the top or the roof of the car, then move down to the hood and the rear deck lid. Next, clean the upper sections of the doors, and end by cleaning the lower areas, including the rocker panels.
- Rinse your vehicle thoroughly with clean water.
- Dry your vehicle right away to prevent hard water spots. A soft towels or Chamois work best.
